The short version of the law: UK headlights need beam converters to avoid dazzling oncoming traffic when driving on the right. France requires Angles Morts blind-spot stickers on anything over 3,500kg: sides and rear, and most coachbuilt motorhomes are over. Hi-viz needs to be reachable from the cab, and the sensible practice is one per travelling seat, because a passenger stepping onto the carriageway needs one too. The triangle must meet ECE R27. The bulb kit is partly about fixing a headlight and partly about having something to show a gendarme with an opinion.
